Cardboard Citizens' Artistic Director Adrian Jackson founded the company in 1991. Since then he has directed over 20 productions for the company, devising and writing many of them. As well as producing many Forum Theatre pieces, Adrian has also directed all the company's larger-scale site-specific productions, including Pericles, co-produced with the RSC. As a leading expert on the Theatre of the Oppressed, Adrian is a well-traveled teacher and speaker. He has taught Theatre of the Oppressed work in many contexts, throughout Britain and Ireland, and many places throughout the world, including France, Hong Kong, Mauritius, Namibia, South Africa, India, Colombia and Kosovo.
