Akemi Shibata is one of Japan's leading quilt designers. Known for her unique "Elegant de Kawaii," or "Elegant and Lovely" style, she is the author of several books, including Quilted Bags & Gifts. She owns a quilt shop in Tokyo, Japan and holds regular workshops and lectures on her art.
