Brendan Gallagher started covering Rugby seriously back in 1985 when he was the Pontypool reporter for the South Wales Argus. Since then he has worked for the South Wales Echo, Hayters Sports Agency and The Daily Telegraph covering every World Cup and 31 consecutive Five or Six Nations championships. In addition to rugby, he has 'majored' in athletics, cycling and basketball and ghosted autobiographies with Brian O'Driscoll, Bradley Wiggins and Nicole Cooke while also writing The Games, the official History of Great Britain and the Olympics, and a similar book detailing the first eight Rugby World Cup competitions. By way of a diversion he penned spoof biographies of comic book heroes Alf 'Tough of the Track' Tupper, Wilson of the Wizard and Roy of the Rovers. He is currently working on a 100th anniversary history of the Giro D'Italia and reports on rugby for The Rugby Paper.
