Brian Cooper was, until his retirement in 1979, head of the history department at Bolsover School in Derbyshire. Out with the Tide is his ninth novel in this series set in 1950s Norfolk and featuring Inspector Mike Tench and his persistent old boss Lubbock. Brian lives in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire.
