DAVID REES has been a Literary Editor of the Spectator (London), a Senior Research Fellow of the Institute for the Study of Conflict (London), and a Visiting Scholar at the Hoover Institution (Stanford University). His publications include Korea: The Limited War (1964), The Age of Containment (1967), Harry Dexter White (1974), Red Star Over Prague (coauthor, 1984), The Korean War: History and Tactics (Consultant Editor and Contributor, 1984), The Soviet Seizure of the Kuriles (1985), and A Short History of Modern Korea (1988).
