Jules Cashford is the co-author, with Anne Baring, of The Myth of the Goddess: Evolution of an Image (Penguin 1993), now recognized as a classic. She has also translated the Homeric Hymns, Jules Cashford read philosophy at St. Andrews followed by postgraduate research in literature at Cambridge on a Carnegie Fellowship, where she was a supervisor on tragedy for some years.She has made two films on Jan van Eyck, and now writes on myth and literature. She is a member of the International Association of Analytical Psychology and a Trustee of the Gaia Foundation in London. Jules Cashford lives in the depths of the country in an early seventeenth century farmhouse with a wildlife garden. She has one daughter, Sasha.
