Bücher von Lindsay Taylor

Lindsay Taylor has always been creative, and as a child she designed and made her own doll's clothes. In later years, personal tragedy eventually brought her back to her childhood home on the Isle of Wight, where she took courses in pattern-cutting and embroidery and eventually set up her own business designing and making wedding gowns. During this time she continued attending embroidery classes, through which she acquired many new skills, including dyeing, applique, batik and screen printing. After several years, and after a brief spell making highly decorative bags and matching scarves, Lindsay began to experiment with three-dimensional art. Her first piece was a teacup, closely followed by a shoe, and before long she was making three-dimensional jewellery pieces. After her first exhibition, Lindsay's career started to develop and she became an elected member of the Society of Designer Craftsmen. Lindsay's work continues to evolve, and she is now a well-established and highly respected designer-maker whose work is exhibited in prestigious galleries throughout the UK. She lives and works in a cottage that she renovated herself and which sits on the edge of a forest on the Isle of Wight, UK. Living within such a beautiful environment has provided the inspiration for much of her work. Website: www.lindsay-taylor.co.uk
