Mike Carey is one of comics' rising star writers. He made his 2000 AD debut scripting several Future Shocks and Pulp Sci- Fi stories before going on to co-create Carver Hale with Mike Perkins and Thirteen with Andy Clarke. In the meantime his work had caught the attention of DC/Vertigo, who promptly asked him to write the ongoing Sandman spin-off series Lucifer, and later to script John Constantine's adventures in Hellblazer. He is currently preparing a revival of military/horror series Wetworks for DC/WildStorm, and his romantic comedy miniseries My Faith in Frankie has recently been collected by Vertigo.
