Ranjit Bolt is one of Britain's leading theatre translators. Born in Manchester, of mixed English and Indian parentage, in 1959, and educated at The Perse School, Cambridge, and Balliol College, Oxford, his version of Corneille's Le Menteur was performed at the Old Vic in 1989 to huge critical acclaim. So began a collaboration with Sir Peter Hall which has resulted in five productions of major European classics. He has also worked with the Royal Shakespeare Company, the National Theatre and numerous theatres in North America, Australia and New Zealand. His verse novel, Losing It, was published by John Murray in 2001. He received the OBE in the 2003 New Year's Honours List for services to literature. Giselle Potter studied at the Rhode Island School of Design, in North America. She was a Publishers Weekly Choice for New Illustrators of 1997. Along with editorial illustrations for various publications, Giselle is the illustrator of several books for children, all of which have been very well received.
