There is treasure buried in the seemingly ordinary fields of our lives. Kevin Scully helps us dig it up. From the foreword by Stephen Cottrell, Bishop of Chelmsford From The Good Bookstall - June 2012 This is a lovely, short book in which the author looks at those parts of our life which we often take for granted and in doing so miss the wonder and joy contained in them. Kevin Scully, the Rector of St. Matthew's Bethnal Green in East London has chosen ten aspects of life which we sometimes overlook and considers how they might be of benefit to us. These include, the gift of tears, of rest, of anger, of humour and of grief amongst them. Each is given a separate chapter and using verses from scripture, songs and poetry as well as examples from life, the author shows that even the most demanding of situations can enrich our life and bestow blessings. A book that can be read through, or dipped into when a particular situation arises, it is a book that provides helpful insights into unlikely subjects and so is to be enjoyed for the subjects it covers and also for the author's clear and incisive writing style.
