Austin Clark was born in Lancaster 1949 and qualified in Medicine at St Thomas's Hospital London. He held a medical post in the dept of Psychological Medicine which features in Shadows & Mockery. He has spent many years in amateur research of English Plantagenet and Tudor history and lives in a haunted Tudor house!
