Charmian Stewart grew up in the Scottish Highlands, and studied English Language and Literature as well as History and Fine Art at the University of Edinburgh. She now lives in Norway with her husband, her children having fled the nest.Writing has always been her passion. She started scribbling and illustrating stories when she was barely old enough to hold a pen. Since then, she has written many short stories and poems, and is never without a notebook to jot down ideas.Ships in the Night is her second novel. Set in the fjords and islands around Bergen, it is a modern-day tale of adventure and suspense. Her first novel, Highland Enchantment, tells the story of a ghost grieving for a past love affair and was inspired by her love of the Celtic myths.
