A lifelong motoring enthusiast, Julian has lived in both the UK and France and has driven nearly a million kilometres throughout Europe and North America. He has been a member of the Institute of Advanced Motorists in the UK for more than thirty years. After a career in publishing and international software development, Julian is now a full-time motoring writer and translator. He also helps organise motoring events for enthusiasts in France. Julian is a member of the Guild of Motoring Writers and of AFPA, the association of French motoring journalists, and speaks French and German fluently. His other books include `France: the essential guide for car enthusiasts,' and several Essential Buyers' Guides, also published by Veloce.
