Charles Winchester is the author of Hitler's War on Russia. Writing under various pseudonyms he is also the author of six Osprey series titles: The German Stormtrooper 1915-18, The Russo-Turkish War 1877-78, The Confederate Infantryman, The Battle of Jutland and The Battle of Verdun. He has ghost-written various military autobiographies including McCleese's Fighting Manual and Black Water.
