Books by David Simmons

David Simmons holds a Masters degree in Anthropology and has been Keeper in Anthropolgy at both Otago and Auckland War Memorial museums. Upon his retirement in 1986, he was awarded a MBE for his services to Maori. Published widely on aspects of Maori culture - his books include: The Great New Zealand Myth, A study of the origins of the Maori people; Whakairo: Maori Tribal Art and Ta Moko - The Art of Maori Tattooing.
