Dawn Garisch has published poetry and fiction, has had a short play and a short film produced, and has written for television. She runs workshops on creativity and is a practicing medical doctor. She is fascinated by relationships and conflict, and the power of images and the imagination, themes which she explores in this remarkable novel. She lives in Cape Town with her two sons. Babyshoes is her first novel for Simon & Schuster.
