Books by Desmond Coakham

Desmond Coakham is a retired architect who has been a lifelong railway enthusiast. His professional career led to him becoming a regular commuter on the Belfast and County Down Railway in the 1940s, and he is now one of the few remaining people with an intimate knowledge of the BCDR before 1950. He is a respected and long-standing member of the Irish Railway Record Society, to whose Journal he has contributed many articles. He is author of a photographic album on the BCDR, Belfast and County Down Railway (Midland Publishing, 1998).
