Don Walter is a lifelong professional writer and resident of Harrow. He has published hundreds of local history articles, has given dozens of lectures, leads guided walks, and has organized local history exhibitions. In 2005 he received a special Anniversary Award "as a mark of high esteem and appreciation of the Council and people of the Borough for generations of unstinting public service."
