Heather MacDermid is President of Leicestershire Footpath Association and an accomplished author of both local history books and walking books including Walking in Charnwood and Foxton Locks to Rutland Water. For many years Heather wrote walks for the Leicester Mercury Country Walking supplements and has an extensive practical knowledge of the footpaths and rights of way in the County as well as their origins and the countryside they pass through. Her enthusiasm and local knowledge shines through in everything she produces.
