Helen M Stevens is the bestselling author of 12 previous books, including The Embroiderer's Countryside (David & Charles). She is well-known internationally for her beautiful depictions of flowers and wildlife, which she was taught to love by her father, a 'true countryman'. Helen has exhibited widely, both in one woman exhibitions at a variety of venues and with the Society of Women Artists, initially at the Westminster Gallery and more recently the Mall Galleries in London. Other early venues included the Harrods Art Gallery, the Stanley Gibbons Gallery in the Strand,The Mary Rose exhibition, The British Museum 'Making of England', the Palace of Westminster and Olympic Park in Sydney, Australia.
