Books by Jan Pollard

Jan Pollard was born in Suffolk and spent most of her working life as a teacher. She began writing poetry to help children with learning difficulties, and rapidly realised the importance of poetry in teaching young children about word and rhythm. Her first volume of poetry, Fly Eagle Fly, was published by Ladybird Books, and more than fifty of her poems have appeared in anthologies and CD-Roms published by Scholastic. The title poem of this new collection was broadcast by the BBC for its schools programmes.
