M. T. Anderson worked as a D.J., a music reviewer, and an editorial assistant at a children's book publisher before becoming a full-time writer. An aficionado of fast food and seventeenth-century court gossip, M. T. Anderson studies and teaches writing at Syracuse University in New York. He is also the author of the critically acclaimed young adult novels "Burger Wuss" and "Feed". Kevin Hawkes is the illustrator of numerous award-winning picture books, including "Weslandia" and "Sidewalk Circus", both written by Paul Fleischman. "Weslandia" was a finalist for the Kate Greenaway Medal. Kevin Hawkes lives in Maine, USA.
