Michele Barrett teaches sociology at the City University, London. She co-edited Ideology and Cultural Production and The Politics of Diversity, edited and introduced Virginia Woolf: Women and Writing, and is the co-author with Mary McIntosh of The Anti-Social Family. She is an editor of Verso's Questions for Feminism series.
