Mike Hammond has been the General Editor of this Yearbook for more than a dozen years. Each summer he disappears for a few months as he, backed by his group of 50-plus statisticians from around the continent, puts this book together. UEFA is the governing body of football in Europe. Based in Nyon, Switzerland, it organizes and oversees the club and national competitions across the continent.
