As an actor he has played leads in many West End musicals such as Chicago, We Will Rock You and Wicked and has just taken over the role of Michael Ball's husband in Hairspray. As Nicholas Craig, he wrote the spoof autobiography, I, an Actor - Another Great Actor Explores Himself. His previous play, On the Ceiling transferred from Birmingham to the West End and was published by NHB.
