Philip P. Mason is Distinguished Professor of History at Wayne State University and the former director of the Archives of Labor & Urban
Affairs at the Walter P. Reuther Library. He is the author of The Ambassador Bridge and the editor of Copper Country Journal. Professor
Mason received his Ph.D. from the University of Michigan.
