No other city on earth is as defined by its transport system as LONDON, with its red buses, black cabs and tube trains instantly recognised the world over. The Bike Hire scheme started in central London in 2010 and has since extended eastwards to Tower Hamlets, Hackney, Bethnal Green, Bow, Canary Wharf, Mile End and Poplar. The scheme offers bikes for rent 24 hours a day, in and around central London, with over 8,000 bikes available from more than 500 docking stations.
