A Kiss of Adventure by Catherine Palmer

Sometimes teenagers feel they are the only ones who are going through issues, but they aren't the only ones. Even though their lives have just begun, and they have a long way to go, they try to stay on the right track and ignore the problems they undergo. Pinkies Don't Promise is a collection of poems centred around the obstacles teenagers face in their daily lives. Their very own emotions set in rhyme so real that they can relate to every word written.

Catherine Palmer, who grew up in Kenya and Bangladesh, is founder and director of The Refugee Sewing Society (RSS) in Atlanta, GA. Women from such war-torn countries as Bhutan, Burma, Somalia, Sudan, South Sudan, Pakistan, and Iraq gather weekly to create Refugee Friend dolls. Catherine founded the RSS in 2008. It has served more than one hundred refugee women, helping them to heal as they earn an income from items they sew, knit, crochet, weave, and fashion into jewelry. For 25 years, Catherine was a national bestselling fiction author. Her 57 published books have won many awards, including the prestigious Christy Award. She and her husband, Tim, have two adult sons.
