Whoop an' Shout! by Valerie Bloom

A brand-new collection of Valerie Bloom’s distinctively lyrical poems, which sparkle with exuberance and wit. Bursting with Carnival Queens, lyrebirds and Whooping Boys, this is a glorious collection. Prepare to be dazzled! Praise for Valerie Bloom: `She is a mighty performer of her poems on stage, but she is first and foremost a writer, and her poems on the page are a tribute to her skill. 'Enjoy the Party' she says [in Let Me Touch the Sky]. I did.’ Roger McGough, Carousel `Valerie Bloom has that magic touch which . . . can make the strange familiar and the familiar strange.' John Mole, TES 'Let Me Touch the Sky contains some performance poems of rare and exceptional quality . . . If we had a multicultural Children’s Laureate, I would nominate her.' Peter Hollindale, Signal
