Andy Radford has had many years' experience of construction work in garden or rural settings. Having trained and worked for the Peak District National Park Authority, he then became a self-employed countryside contractor and advisor. Since 1999 he has written several books including A Guide to Dry Stone Walling and Building Countryside Paths and Tracks [published by Crowood] and writes regularly for Country Smallholding magazine.
