Books by Julian Petley

Julian Petley teaches media and communication studies at Brunel University. His most recent book is Ill Effects: The Media Violence Debate which he co-edited with Martin Barker. He is Chair of the Campaign for Press and Broadcasting Freedom, and a memeber of the editorial boards of the British Journalism Review and the Journal of Popular British Cinema. The consultant, Lilie Ferrari, has worked in the independent film sector and for the BBC and the British Film Institute. She has written numerous episodes of BBC dramas, including Eastenders, Casualty, Dangerfield and Berkeley Square. She lectures on media-related matters, and has published three novels.
