Books by Robin Perry

Born in Vienna, Austria the author also lived in Sudan and Canada prior to coming to live in England at the age of eight. He schooled in Manchester and took an Honours Degree in English at Sheffield University before leaving England to work in and travel all over Europe and Africa for two years. Upon his return he pursued a career in social work in the north of England and then subsequently as a teacher, using both his teaching and social work skills for over two years in the new republic of Slovakia during the mid- 1990s where he added a useful working knowledge of Slovak to his proficiency in German and French. He has since that time worked as a teacher and learning support worker in England before changing career again to become a careers adviser. Robin has written an abundance of poetry which has been regularly published in poetry anthologies such as the Cleveland 'Write Around' since 1989, winning first prize in 1991; also securing first prize in the World Wide Writers quarterly publication in 1998. He has also had articles on travel and ornithology published in newspapers in England and Slovakia. His main interests are wildlife photography, philately and foreign travel. He has also travelled extensively in the Middle East, India and Peru and has supported Third World development projects in Peru, India and East Africa
