About Kuniko Mukoda
Mukoda was born in Tokyo in 1929. A scriptwriter known for her domestic dramas for radio and television, she died in a tragic plane crash in 1981. She was awarded the prestigious Naoki Prize for Popular Fiction in 1981. Tomone Matsumoto has taught in the United States and Australia and is coeditor of the Showa Anthology of Japanese Literature.
