This text highlights the issues facing colleges and universities and the Christian ministry within them. There has been fundamental change in education provision. Expansion continues to be government policy. The Church, through its chaplains, is actively engaged in facing the challenges such changes bring. The time is ripe for the Church to take stock of this presence in further and higher education, and how to support chaplaincy most effectively. This report raises issues that demand attention from the wider Church and all involved in education, whether Church members, college staff, diocesan officers or theological educators.
