1896. No Edition Remarks. 102 pages. No dust jacket. Red cloth with gilt titles and decoration to front and spine. Includes illustrated plates. All plates present as expected. Gift inscription, apparently from the publishing co., to half title page. Text in English, translated by Henry Bacon. Pages have slight foxing, tanning and minor thumbing. Foxing more noticeable towards the start and end of the book and on text block edges and half title. Previous owner's inscription to front endpaper, erased. Boards have some edge wear, with pronounced bumping and fraying to corners, while spine ends are crushed and frayed. Rather scratched, rubbed and marked overall. Boards have various dust stains, marks, stains, scratches and some mottling. Notable crack to upper front joint. Boards slightly bowed. Gilt is bright.
