Two years after Michael's death Andy Sutherland decided to write this story, based primarily on his own diary and the frequent emails he had been sending to friends and family during Michael's illness. He now lives and works in Johannesburg with his wife Kerry and his two daughters, Annemarie and Kim. Andy is the first to admit that the publication of this book was delayed because he was completely distracted by the Rugby World Cup (which South Africa went on to win!).
