She is the author of Wings of Gauze: Women of Color and the Experience of Health and Illness (1993) and Babe: The Greatest All-Sport Athlete of All-Time (2001). Her biography Babe: The Life and Legend of Babe Didrikson Zaharias (1996) was a Pulitzer Prize nominee. Anne Donadey is Professor of French and Women s Studies at San Diego State University. She is the author of Recasting Postcolonialism (2001), co-editor of Postcolonial Theory and Francophone Literary Studies (with H. Adlai Murdoch, 2005), and editor of Approaches to Teaching the Works of Assia Djebar (2016). She was also editor of a special issue of the journal L Esprit createur dedicated to the works of Assia Djebar (Winter 2008). Irene Lara isAssociate Professor at San Diego State University s Department of Women s Studies. She has published a co-edited volume, Fleshing the Spirit: Spirituality and Activism in Chicana, Latina, and Indigenous Women s Lives (with Elisa Facio, 2014).
