Books by Cameron McPhail
DR CAMERON McPHAIL is a former staid banker turned writer and cartoonist. After stints in academia and government, Cameron joined the Royal Bank of Scotland and rose to become Chief Executive of the organisation's Wealth Management Division which, following the takeover of NatWest became one of the world's largest with 7,000 staff operating across 16 jurisdictions. He presciently left the bank a couple of years before its collapse after falling out over just about everything with the bank's now-notorious CEO: `Fred the Shred' Goodwin. After catching up on his sleep, Cameron re-engaged with the finance industry, co-founded a bedding plant business, and began writing and cartooning as a sideline. Completing his animation degree in 2009, OLI NIGHTINGALE became a freelance illustrator and in 2012 he teamed up with Cameron to set up the Kartoon Faktory. In 2012 and 2013 Oli was runner-up in the UK Young Cartoonist of the Year Competition (the lad was robbed!). Oli and Cameron's cartoons are regularly published in newspapers and magazines including Private Eye and The Oldie. Among other things, the Kartoon Faktory team is currently working on a number of topical cartoon books.
