Catriona McCuaig is a Welsh-Canadian author who lives in the Canadian bush, where she likes to watch wolves and bears passing by. She has written many books, including historical novels, regional histories and commissioned works. She is well known to British readers through her writing in the People's Friend and My Weekly Story Collections. Robert Hale also published her previous novels Windsong and Sand Against the Wind.
