Charles W. Kegley, Jr., is Corporate Secretary on the Board of Trustees of the Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs and a Moynihan Faculty Research Associate in the Moynihan Institute of Global Affairs at Syracuse University. He has held appointments at Georgetown University, the University of Texas, Rutgers University, the People's University of China, and the Graduate Institute of International Studies, Geneva. He received his doctorate from The Maxwell School of Citizenship & Public Affairs at Syracuse University. He has written and edited more than forty-five books and over one hundred journal articles and book chapters. He is past president of the International Studies Association (ISA) and a recipient of the Distinguished Scholar Award of ISA's Foreign Policy Section. Professor Kegley is also Distinguished Pearce Professor of International Relations Emeritus at the University of South Carolina. Christopher M. Jones is associate professor and chair within the Department of Political Science at Northern Illinois University (NIU). He has also served as assistant chair and director of undergraduate studies. He received his doctorate from The Maxwell School of Citizenship & Public Affairs at Syracuse University, where he received university-wide awards in research and teaching. He has published more than twenty journal articles and book chapters related to American foreign and defense policy, and co-edited The Future of American Foreign Policy (1999) with Eugene R. Wittkopf. Professor Jones has been recognized for teaching excellence by student organizations, the American Political Science Association, The National Political Science Honor Society, Who's Who among America's Teachers, and three universities. In 2002 he became the youngest recipient of Northern Illinois University's Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching Award, the institution's longest-standing faculty honor. Professor Jones currently serves as vice-president (and president elect) of the Foreign Policy Analysis Section of the International Studies Association. Eugene R. Wittkopf was the R. Downs Poindexter Professor Emeritus at Louisiana State University (LSU). He also held appointments at the University of Florida and the University of North Carolina. He received his doctorate from The Maxwell School of Citizenship & Public Affairs at Syracuse University. He published more than thirty books on international politics and foreign policy and several dozen refereed articles in professional journals and chapters in books. He held offices in professional associations and served on the editorial boards of numerous profession journals. In 2002 he received the Distinguished Scholar Award of the Foreign Policy Section of the International Studies Association. Earlier, Professor Wittkopf was named the 1996 Distinguished Research Master of Arts, Humanities, and Social Studies at Louisiana State University. This is the highest award given by the LSU in recognition of faculty contributions to research and scholarship.
