Chris Sullivan has been a DJ, author, nightclub host, pop star, painter, style commentator, entrepreneur and fashion designer. He has always been proud of never having a 'real job'.
In the 1980s he fronted the Latin funk band, Blue Rondo a la Turk and opened The Wag Club in Wardour Street, where he was host, director and DJ for 18 years. From the mid-eighties onwards he has DJ'd in the best clubs and parties across the world.
As a journalist he has worked at The Face and Loaded, and for four years from 2000, he was GQ's style editor. Since then he has freelanced for The Times, Esquire, Telegraph, Independent, Guardian, and L'Uomo Vogue. He has written two previous books, the international bestseller Punk (with Stephen Colegrave) and the definitive chronicle of club culture of the '80s, We Can Be Heroes (with Graham Smith).
