Claire Walter an avid diver, hiker, skier, and snowshoer, holds a PADI Advanced Diver card, and retook her certification course to acquaint herself with a beginner's perspective. She is a prodigious writer with 18 books and dozens of newspaper and magazine articles to her credit. She is winner of numerous awards, including Colorado Freelancer of the Year and the Harold Hirsch Award for Excellence in Ski Book Writing.
