DAVID AMBROSE was born in Chorley Lancashire in 1943 and educated at Blackburn Grammar School and Merton College, Oxford. Becoming seriously distracted by the theatre, he postponed his intended career as a barrister (indefinitely, as it turned out) and by the age of twenty-five had established himself as a successful playwright and screenwriter. He is the author of multiple Hollywood screenplays and also a series of science fiction novels which have been described as as "Hitchcock meets Hawking". He continues to move easily between the cinema, theatre and literature. He lives in Provence, France, but is often found on the London social scene.
