Denise Taylor is an award winning career coach. With a combination of educational credentials and vast industry expertise, Denise is renowned for helping clients get results. She has specialised in career development for over 20 years, and has published extensively in this area. Her specialist knowledge is backed up with Diplomas in coaching and counselling and Masters degrees in occupational psychology (focused on career development) and business administration (MBA). She is also a Registered Guidance Practitioner. Following a career which saw her rise from Post Office counter clerk to assistant director in less than 14 years, Denise set up Amazing People in 1999. Working predominately with individuals Denise helps students, graduates and career changers understand who they are and become successful in their job search. Denise is also a sought after consultant and advises companies as diverse as charities, energy companies and the Civil Service, helping them make accurate recruitment decisions and to provide support in times of redundancy. This means the advice is this book is effective - she trains interviewers and recruiters. In November 2007 Denise won a National Career Award (sponsored by The Independent Newspaper) for The Gold Career Programme, focused on anyone who seeks to get clarity on their career future. Denise was the featured career coach on the Tonight programme - How safe is your job, November 2008 and is regularly featured on national radio including BBC Radio 4 Nice Work, Radio Gloucestershire and City Talk Radio. Articles have featured in a variety of magazines including Top Sante, The Apprentice, Prospects Graduate, and the online site HR Zone. Denise has spoken at a number of professional events and conferences including The Open University Business School, The Association for Counselling at Work and the Institute of Career Guidance. Outside of work Denise enjoys living in the countryside, and is passionate about music from classical to trance.
