Derek Reid was born in Hammersmith in 1939. His family moved to Stukeley in Cambridgeshire and after a happy two years moved to Bridge Place Godmanchester, Bridge Place was a thriving little community in the 20's and 30's and is the setting for this novel "Looking For Africa".
