Dick Weissman has written sixteen published books about music and the music business, and over forty instructional music folios on guitar, banjo and songwriting. His co-authored book, The Folk Music Sourcebook, won the ASCAP Deems Taylor Music Critics Award. His recent book, Which Side Are You On? An Inside History of the Folk Music Revival, was a finalist for the Oregon Book Award in non-fiction writing in 2007, and another work, The Music Business: Career Opportunities & Self Defense.
