Donald Black is University Professor of the Social Sciences and Chairman of the Department of Sociology at the University of Virginia, and has taught legal sociology at both Harvard and Yale Law Schools. He has published four other books, including the highly acclaimed The Behavior of Law, which Contemporary Sociology called "the most important contribution ever made to the sociology of law."
