Donna David grew up in the West Midlands in a house full of noisy siblings, fun parents, mad aunties and maggots (her dad is a fisherman). She'd often be found reading by torch light way after bed time and this love of reading has never left her. She studied English at Loughborough University and currently works as an English coach at the local secondary school. She is married to an RAF pilot and she has worked closely with the charity Little Troopers on a series of picture books written for military children. Her first YA story, Bruised was published by Badger Learning in 2018. Donna loves writing for children and teenagers and thinks that a child's imagination is the best place in the world!
Laura Watkins graduated from the University for Creative Arts in 2011 with a BA (Hons) in illustration. Outside of illustration, she has experience in art consultancy and has designed the walls of the NHS children's hospital in Lambeth.
