Writer, journalist and historian Edwin P. Hoyt was a war correspondent in Asia and the Middle East. He has been news editor for the US Office of War Information and a member of their psychological warfare team in India, Burma and China; reporter, editor and writer for the Denver Post and San Francisco Chronicle; and a producer-director-writer for CBS TV News. He is the author of The Invasion Before Normandy, The U-Boat Wars, Hitler's War and Japan's War. He lives in Japan.
