Fred Schneider is lead singer of The B-52s, one of the most influential bands to emerge from New York's post-punk underground music scene. In the late '70s and early '80s, the B-52s helped define new wave music with infectious dance songs like "Rock Lobster" and "52 Girls"; in the '90s, they took mainstream radio by storm with no.1 hits like "Love Shack" and "Cosmic Thing."
